Production: Hericium most often grows from the wood of dead or dying deciduous trees, often fallen oak, beech, or maple, from late summer to fall. It can be spotted on logs, on stumps, and sometimes in the wounds of living trees.
Qualities: Lion’s Mane is an edible mushroom known for its potential cognitive support, nervous system health benefits, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, digestive health support, immune system support, and potential as a nootropic.Common Use: The most common method of consuming dried Lion’s Mane mushrooms is to make a tea. The tea can be prepared by simmering the mushroom in water for about three hours. Lion’s Mane can also be added to smoothies, and soups, which should be simmered for two to three hours as well.
In prepared dishes, they are most commonly used sparingly, as an accent, due to the strong, earthy flavour.

Qualities: Ashwagandha (aka Indian Ginseng) is one of the most well-known and widely used Ayurvedic herbs as it contains many useful medicinal chemicals, including withanolides (steroidal lactones), alkaloids, choline, fatty acids, amino acids, and a variety of sugars. While the leaves and fruit have valuable therapeutic properties, the root of the Ashwagandha plant is the part most commonly used in Western herbal remedies.

Production: Mullein is a leafy, fuzzy plant that grows in a rosette shape with a shoot emerging from the middle that produces small, densely grouped, yellow flowers. The flannel-like leaves are harvested in the second year.
Qualities: Mullein leaf has a long history of use in herbal medicine, mostly for the treatment of respiratory ailments such as coughs, hoarseness, colds, earaches, flu symptoms, allergies, and sore throat. Mullein can also be used topically to soothe wounds, burns, and irritated skin.

Production: This classic or “true” lavender is an aromatic perennial evergreen shrub with little, greyish-purple flowers that is valued for its sweet, delicate floral aroma and medicinal qualities. It is also known as English lavender as it was originally developed for the perfume industry in England during the 18th century. It is native to the Mediterranean but is now cultivated in all temperate climate zones where it blooms from late spring to early autumn.
Qualities: Lavender is one of the most recognized aromas and are thought to have many therapeutic properties. antiseptic and insect repellent qualities. Production: Mugwort, also known as Common Wormwood, St. John’s Plant and various other names, is a European herb noted for its fuzzy leaves.
Qualities: Although mugwort is often encapsulated or used to prepare teas and tinctures, the herb is also compounded with other herbs and resins to produce ceremonial incense. John the Baptist, who lived in the wilderness of Judea, reputedly carried the herb for protection. Mugwort is also a traditional material for herbal sleep pillows. It is also said that placing dried mugwort under the pillow will promote lucid dreaming.
Common Use: Excellent in topical balms, ointments and creams when infused in carrier oil. Use to make throat lozenges and syrups. May also be prepared as tea. Use in herbal sachets and dream pillows. Qualities: Nepeta catariais a short-lived perennial, herbaceous plant that grows to be 50–100 cm (20–40 in) tall and wide, and that blooms from late spring to autumn.
